		Glasses for Humanity Glasses for Humanity removes a significant barrier to literacy, education, productivity and economic well-being for tens of millions of people each year. They collect used eyeglasses in the United States; train and employ 21,000 vision care providers in the developing world; provide 30 million people in developing nations with eyeglasses each year, and provide eyeglasses for many of the nearly 2 million American schoolchildren in the United States who cannot currently see the blackboard clearly.
